Bring in a well-known image for APPROPRIATION!
The image could be a historic or well-known painting, a well known photograph of someone universally recognized, documentation of a well known event, etc.
Needed for TOMORROW, 9/16!
(The image on the top, Ice T (2005) by Kehinde Wiley, was influenced by Ingres' Napoleon I on his Imperial Throne (1806). Wiley's work is currently on display in Washington D.C's National Portrait Gallery. Click on the link to view the exhibit titled Recognize!)
Also, don't forget to print out the self-assessment and fill out the point value for your in-class charcoal drawing. Bring it in to tape to the back of your drawing.
Wednesday is the LAST DAY to work on the class still life.
